We’re proud to welcome aboard Tokyo-based Zac-Pac as an official retailer (as of now the only official retailer other than ourselves via Rotofugi).
So, if you’re based in Japan or other parts of Asia please give Zac Pac your Lake Monster business! They do have a couple pieces of the new Aqua-Moot available now in addition to some of our other projects by 64 Colors and Travis Lampe. Thank you.

The first release of our newest figure, Dredge, is upon us! We’re calling this first release the Imperial Version after the pearl purple finish and because, after all, purple is the color of royalty. This release is black vinyl with silver and pearlescent purple sprays and silver eyes.
Dredge – Imperial Version will be released on Friday, February 26th. It will be available in-store at Rotofugi in Chicago beginning when we open at noon. Online sales at rotofugi.com will begin at 2pm the same day. The price for this release is $60.
Huge thanks to Brian Morris for his great design and Chris Ryniak for his amazing work on the sculpt.

It’s just a teaser image for now, but the newest Lake Monster will be coming pretty soon. Dredge was designed by Chicago artist Brian Morris, and sculpted by Chris Ryniak and our own Joe Somers.
For the curious out there…this does not mean that the Big Muscamoot is dead. Far from it. We have several different color releases of Chris Ryniak’s figure planned for this year, but Dredge is up next. Thanks!

This pink monstrosity features a great tiger stripe motif designed by Big Muscamoot sculptor/designer Chris Ryniak and painted by the talented hands of Joe Somers (aka Squibbles Ink)…I think it turned out fantastic!
This exclusive (aka Tk2moot) is to be released at the Toy Karma 2 Exhibit at Rotofugi Gallery, Chicago this Saturday, September 5. Line tickets for Toy Karma exclusives will be available at the store beginning at 12 Noon Saturday. Line back up at 6pm…and then exclusives will go on sale at 7pm. If any are left after the opening, they will be available online at rotofugi.com on Monday or Tuesday. Sorry, no holds, reserves, pre-orders, phone orders, email orders (well you get the idea)…you have to attend the opening for first shot at this ‘moot! Thanks!

Alright…we’re fresh back from San Diego Comic Con and, as promised, are holding an email lottery to sell off a few pieces of the Lake Monsters Big Muscamoot releases from SDCC and Wonderfest.
There are four versions available via this lottery (left to right): Fire on the Water Version, Booskamoot Version, Unpainted Factory Reject Orange Version and Unpainted Factory Reject Green Version.
To enter the lottery, send an email to lottery@thelakemonsters.com stating which version or versions you’d like to buy. Deadline for entry is August 11, 2009. At that time we’ll draw names (if the number of pieces available is less than entries) and send payment links to the winners. Thanks!
Fire on the Water and Booskamoot will be $60 each. Unpainted Factory Rejects will be $30 each.
